X36F Stick and X35T Throttle

The X36 was the first stick and throttle HOTAS from Saitek. It consisted of the X36F stick and X35T throttle. The original X36 had a combined gameport and AT keyboard passthrough. There was also a non-programmable version of the stick called the X-35F that when used with the throttle became programmable.

The throttle featured a rudder rocker, a feature used again on the more modern T.Flight HOTAS X by Thrustmaster. Saitek dropped support for the X36 Gameport in 1998 prior to Windows 2000 due to problems with motherboard support. The joystick became problematic with the release of PS2 keyboards due to the AT keyboard passthrough causing phantom keypresses, typically the SHIFT key. The X36 Gameport was replaced by the X36 USB.
