X52Pro HOTAS

The Saitek X52 Pro took the features introduced in the earlier X52 and enhanced them.

The MFD on the throttle was angled to provide easier viewing. The MFD can now also be made to display useful information from sims through a software development kit (SDK). Microsoft Flight Simulator X radio stack is supported out of the box, other sims require development using the SDK.

The lights on the HOTAS can now be switched between colours and controlled individually programmatically. This allows the lights to be used to display status information. Raptor007 has made a very cool application that can change the lights and MFD info on the X52 Pro using output from Falcon 4, link below.

The X52 Pro uses hall effect sensors like the the X52 but has improved sensitivity. The stick itself has greater spring resistance than the X52. The successor to the X52 Pro is the X65F.
