Suncom SFS Throttle and Talon Stick

Suncom released a series of joysticks (the Raptor, Talon, Hawk and Eagle) and in 1998 one throttle called the SFS (Strike Fighter Series) throttle. The throttle was also sold in a unusual SFS "Combo Crate" HOTAS bundling the throttle with the SFS joystick where the packaging was a wooden crate. The Suncom equipment was modelled on the controls of the F-15. The split throttle allowed dual engine control and used a combination gameport and keyboard interface.

The Suncom throttle is still highly desirable due to the dual throttle control, with some people modifying them with USB controllers to support modern operating systems.

Suncom HOTAS was killed off following patent infringement action initiated in December 1995 by Thrustmaster against Suncom's parent company WICO Corporation.
